Eating Balut in Manila!

Mmmm…yummy.

My friendly hosts took me out for a local delicacy called Balut.  It’s a baby duck embryo in the egg.  O.o

Hi Philip, I am glad you’re enjoying your stay in my home country. You are a brave man eating the “balut”. I am your mom’s neighbor here in Lexington, SC. Take care and travel safe. Have you tried the “chocolate pork” yet?

      Hi Rey!
Thank you for watching my video and commenting. ^_^
I haven’t tried chocolate pork yet, but I had chocolate with sticky rice for breakfast 2 days ago – it was really nice!

hello, glad to see you enjoy your trip.
there is ‘happy egg’ in china that is very similar to balut. I think it’s a baby chicken in the egg.

Yeah – that was a kinda crazy night, but good to see a different side of local life here.

I’ve eaten ‘happy egg’ for many times. They are at different stages. Some are more like eggs and some are more like chicken with a lot of feathers.^o^
