I really enjoyed the curry party yesterday. What was most impacting was everyone’s willingness to chat about charities and apparent thankfulness that someone had put the work in to create a forum where people could share their thoughts. I was really glad to see everyone pitch in, and with all of the donations as well as the original $100, a $50 donation from friends in Canada and a $20 donation from a friend in Australia, my campaign has now hit $574~!! That means 28 people will get drinkable water from our efforts over the past week.
What touches me the most though is to have a chance to experience and see the giving spirit of those around me and remind myself how much good there is in the world. I can’t even begin to imagine all the greatness I’m going to encounter on my upcoming travels!

Charity can really go both ways, and it’s hard to know what really helps. But water…hard to see how having clean water is gonna hurt anyone.
